Editor’s pick: Last year, I actually decided to try tackling cooking Thanksgiving dinner for my whole family on my own. It actually went a lot better than expected, especially for my first time roasting a bird. The top layer of meat was a little dry, but the stuff underneath was sooo juicy and flavorful.
If I had to peg it to something, my guess would be using fresh fruits, veggies, and herbs inside the bird instead of breaded stuffing and slathering tons of butter directly under the skin.
Any other tips would be greatly appreciated, though. I may try it again.
