We’re just going to come out and say it… dates and prosciutto do belong on pizza. And they’re even better with one of this restaurant’s artistic cocktails.
Coquette Bakeshop
If you’re heading over first thing in the morning, we know coffee will be one of your biggest priorities. But hold out until you get to this little cart on the main strip — those pastries will be well worth the wait.

Get a taste of Seattle as a flavor of ice cream

Recently, we asked you to come up with a unique ice cream flavor that describes Seattle and utilizes one to three locally sourced ingredients. After reading all of your responses, it’s safe to say that our mouths are watering. Here were two of our favorites:
Coffee ice cream topped with honey and macadamia nuts from CB’s Nuts. Called “Nuts About Coffee.” - Lisa S.
Chocolate ice cream made with Theo Chocolate and topped with dark chocolate cherries from Chukar Cherries, walnuts from PCC Community Markets, and crumbled pie crust from Pie Bar. Called “Theos Cherry Chunk.” - Juliette W.
The only thing we need now is a local ice cream shop to make one of these flavors a reality. Molly Moon’s, Sweet Alchemy, Frankie & Jo’s — we’re looking at you.

I had the best time over the holiday weekend. The Fourth of July is my Dad’s birthday (did you know that all of those fireworks are actually for him?) so I got to spend some time hanging out with him and enjoying the beautiful weather in the woods where he lives. But also, I got to meet my parents’ new puppy and he’s even cuter in person.
So, with all of that in mind, I have a proposition for you all — an exchange, if you will. If I give you this GIF of the puppy getting scared by a piece of paper, will you wish my dad a happy birthday for me? I’d very much appreciate it.
