“Dude, you gotta check out the bathroom.”
Seattle bathrooms that have serious style
Your friends may not believe you when you come back from Life on Mars’ bathroom. | GIF by SEAtoday Staff
There’s nothing quite like the moment when you leave your friends at a bar to use the bathroom and find yourself suddenly transported into an entirely different world.
No, we’re not talking about Narnia, but the plethora of bathrooms around Seattle that take their stall decorations very seriously.
In fact, @bar_bathroom has dedicated a whole Instagram account to exploring the magical world of Seattle comodes. She gave us a tour of some of her favorite spots and how easy they are to take a killer selfie in.
Tantalizing toilets
Life on Mars | Selfie-ability score: 7/10
You have two choices here. One door will lead you into a decked-out Seattle Sonics-themed bathroom, but the real treasure is the disco-themed bathroom behind door No. 2. If you’re not ready, it can be a little startling — but in the grooviest way.
The Doctor’s Office | Selfie-ability score: 9/10
Not only is the entire (and we mean entire) bathroom covered in red polka dots, but it’s got a heated toilet seat that opens as you walk in.
Imagine all the Windex that La Dive has to use everyday.

While this natural wine spot is a bit understated in its storefront decor, the bathroom goes for dramatic, fuschia lighting and wall-to-ceiling mirrors. It’s very fun if you’re wearing a cute outfit, but a little uncomfortable if you don’t like to make eye contact with yourself while you pee.
TOMO | Seflie-ability score: 6/10
There’s nothing immediately unique, until you stop and listen. What’s that you hear? Yes, those are ambient whale noises coming through the speakers.
We feel a little richer looking at this bathroom tucked away inside King LeRoy.

Just about every square inch is covered in gold sparkles — probably not what you were expecting inside of this sportsy after-work hang.
