Attention, shoppers. Target plans to permanently close its stores in Ballard and the U District on Saturday, Oct. 21, citing public safety issues.
The two Seattle locations are among nine Target stores closing across the country due to what the company cited as ongoing “theft and organized retail crime” that put employees and customers at risk.
The Ballard and U District Targets are smaller-format versions of the store that each opened in 2019. The retailer has 22 other locations in the Seattle area.
