And 87% of you answered 130 years. That’s right. Bartell Drugs was founded in 1890.

We also asked for our readers’ go-to pharmacy choices. Many of you said you preferred Bartell, though a couple folks use Costco or Walgreens. One reader wrote in that they switched to Vashon Pharmacy because there is “no Bartell on Vashon Island.”

I check the sunset times for the newsletter every day, and I’m here to warn you — today is the last day the sun sets after 6 p.m. Tomorrow it’ll set at 6 p.m. on the dot, and on Saturday the sun goes down at the ghastly time of 5:58 p.m. And — not to bum you out — but the clocks change on Sunday, Nov. 5. The sun will set at 4:46 p.m. on that day.

Don’t despair. The next few months are full of lights and festivities — and we’ll keep you in the loop on all of them.
