Irish band The High Kings got it right when they sang “where ever you go around the world you’ll find an Irish pub” — and Seattle is no exception.

Here’s where you can go around the city to get a nice foamy pour of Guinness or a steamy plate of fish ‘n’ chips.

Kell’s Irish Pub & Restaurant | Pike Place Market
As the downtown go-to for Irish fare, this pub gets a lot of visits from local bar crawls and visiting tourists. But the pub is also in the middle of a week-long Irish Festival featuring dancing, special dishes, and lots of music.

Shawn O’Donnell’s | Multiple locations
With several local locations, this PNW-based pub chain has different kinds of live music every night this week in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

Owl ‘N Thistle | Pioneer Square
Jam out to acts like the Seattle Firefighters Pipes & Drums and the Belfast Bandits this Sunday, March 17.

Mulleady's Irish Pub sits wistfully amongst a green garden in the exterior portrait of the building.

Mulleady’s has been a local staple for more than 20 years.

Mulleady’s | Magnolia
With a level 3 sommelier as a co-owner, this neighborhood hang has quite a catalog of Irish whiskeys and yummy wines on the menu. The soda bread with salted Irish butter is also quite a treat.

Sully’s Snowgoose Saloon | Phinney Ridge
When you walk by this tiny white building, you might find yourself wondering if you’ve been accidentally transported to the Irish hills. It’s also celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

Murphy’s Pub | Wallingford
Come for the cozy atmosphere, stay for the stout beef stew that’s served with homemade brown bread and 17 hours of celebration on St. Patrick’s Day.

Neat news everyone — for the past two years, I’ve been your city editor on this tour of Seattle, but now... I’m your senior city editor. ✨ Oooh, ahhhh.

Nothing will change on your end. I’ll be writing just as much as I have been. I just look a little fancier on our website now.
