Mayor Bruce Harrell signed new legislation to allow local music venues to apply for designated parking spaces for performers to park, load + unload their equipment before and after events. The program will begin in 2025; new street signs will be posted in approved areas warning other motorists not to park there. (KING 5)
Traffic
The Seattle Department of Transportation broke ground on the new Georgetown to Downtown Safety Project which will expand the protected bike lane network. The new three-mile extension will elongate the already existing SODO trail on Fifth Avenue South, along with other drainage + signage upgrades.
Closed
The Ballard 8oz. Burger & Co. is closing after 10 years in business. However, the restaurant will still be offering delivery service while they find a new location. Want to keep up with local restaurant openings or closings? Read more on our website.
Community
In observance of LGBTQ+ history month, a new marker in Pioneer Square now commemorates the site of the first-ever Seattle Pride that took place 50 years ago. The signage includes information about the origin of Pride and other pieces of local LGBTQ+ history. (KING 5)

The Seattle Storm now tops the WNBA as the league’s most valuable team with a net worth of $151 million despite being in a smaller market. Previously, the Las Vegas Aces sat at the top with a net worth of $140 million. (Puget Sound Business Journal)
