Capitol Hill’s The Garage has lots of options for fun — even when the clock strikes midnight. | Photo by @dagoodnes
Let us paint you a quick picture.
It’s a perfectly good Friday night and you don’t have any Saturday plans or obligations. You’ve got tons of energy and you just want to get out, but the idea of sitting at a bar somewhere just sounds... well, kinda boring.
Here are some local picks for when that late-night adventure calls.
Burn off that energy 🛼
We’ve all had a cup of coffee just a little too late in the day. If you’re feeling extra jittery or even just a little playful, Southgate Roller Rink(open until midnight on weekends) offers skate sessions for both kids and adults with appearances from live DJs and funk bands.
Recreational recs 🎳
Roll out your “The Big Lebowski” dreams with some late-night bowling at The Garage in Capitol Hill (open until midnight on weekends) or West Seattle Bowl(also part of the midnight crew).
Money burning a hole in your pocket? 🛍
Look, the need for retail therapy doesn’t run on a schedule. You can shop at one of Late Night Vintage Mall’s two downtown locations until midnight almost every day of the week.
Swim trunks with pockets. These quick-drying swimsuit trunks have a hidden pocket built into an anti-chafe compression liner — perfect for keeping phones, keys, and cash safe on beach days.
That’s really the only thought that’s occupying my mind right now. The forest has also started to take on that sweet, musky scent it gets in the summer that I love so much.
I am a very, very happy girl these days and hope you’re also finding opportunities to enjoy the sunshine this week.
