Save the Dates: 19 big events coming to Seattle in 2025

Whew, 2025 is shaping up to be an eventful year in the Emerald City.

Wooo-weee. Between the Capitol Hill Block Party, ECCC, and our other various ferstivals, 2025 is already shaping up to be quite the year for Seattle.

It’s time to start marking your calendars, because we have an exciting year ahead of us. Here are what events have particularly caught our eye.

Seattle Center Festál

January-November
Throughout the year, the Seattle Center plays host to a variety of cultural festivals showcasing communities from across the world. Check out the schedule for opportunities like the Seattle Cherry Blossom and Japanese Cultural Festival, Indigenous People Festival, and Sea Mar Fiestas Patrias.

Chinatown-International District’s Lunar New Year Celebration

Saturday, Feb. 22
The Year of the Snake is about to begin — celebrate with lion dances, a food walk, martial arts demonstrations, family-friendly activities, and lots of vendors.

Emerald City Comic Con

Thursday, March 6-Sunday, March 9
If you find yourself roaming downtown on this weekend, you might notice quite the cast of characters wandering around. No need to wonder — it’s the Emerald City Comic Con. Pop in for guest appearances from the “Baldur’s Gate 3" voice actors (including our snarky vampire friend), cosplaying panels, and video game competitions.

Seattle Cocktail Week

Sunday, March 2-Sunday, March 9
Sip your way through some of Seattle’s best bars and spirits with this big series of events, panels, and workshops that conclude with “Carnival of Cocktails.”

Taste Washington

Thursday, March 13-Sunday, March 16
Once you’ve had a taste of Seattle’s cocktails (see the event above), it’s time to give your taste buds a whirl of Washington wines. Cruise your way through a variety of the state’s best vinos during a variety of events.

UW Cherry Blossom Bloom

Usually in mid-March to mid-April
This isn’t an organized event, but it’s something the whole town will be talking about as a surefire sign of spring. These cherry blossoms symbolize the beginning of life returning after the winter and inspire plenty of events + festivals around town.

Mariners Opening Day

Monday, March 27
This is our year... hopefully. Our home MLB team might break your heart year after year, but at some point we’ll make it to the World Series, right?

Skagit Tulip Festival

It’s time to prance like you’ve never pranced before through fields of gold, pink, and red as the Skagit Tulip Festival bursts into color. Tour a variety of farms and pick up a few bouquets to brighten your home after those crisp, cold winter months.

Seattle International Film Festival

Monday, May 15-Thursday, May 25
We can smell the buttery popcorn already. This festival features 100+ films from more than 80 countries. Transport yourself to worlds you’ve not yet experienced — all from the comfort of some very cushy chairs.

Northwest Folklife

Friday, May 23-Monday, May 26
Seattle’s hippie-est festival returns once again with its humongous variety of musical performances, dancers, food vendors, and hacky sack opportunities.

Seattle PrideFest

Saturday, June 28-Sunday, June 29
Seattle’s Pride events are both one of the most highly-attended Prides in the country, but also one rich with history. Pride events will happen all month long, but the main event spans two days in Capitol Hill, Downtown, and the Seattle Center.

Bite of Seattle

Usually scheduled for mid-July
More than 100 food vendors swamp the Seattle Center for this big food event. Come hungry so you can grub on a variety of dumplings, tacos, drinks, barbecue, and more.

Capitol Hill Block Party

Friday, July 18-Sunday, July 20
Woop woop — it’s time for Seattle’s biggest music festival. While the line-up hasn’t been announced quite yet, past acts have included Charlie xcx, Lizzo, and Chappell Roan.

Seattle Art Fair

Thursday, July 17-Sunday, July 20
The PNW’s art community gets quite the spotlight during this big event. The whole town gets in on this artsy shindig that features gallery + artist spotlights, networking opportunities, and interactive workshops.

Day In, Day Out Fest

Usually scheduled for July or August
Another favorite for Seattle’s music lovers, this festival features multiple stages, DJs, and artists like Suki Waterhouse, Bon Iver, and Mac DeMarco.

SeaFair Weekend

Friday, Aug. 1-Sunday, Aug. 3
You either love SeaFair or you buy noise-canceling headphones. The Navy’s Blue Angels will likely return for another round of eardrum thrumming aerial performances along with other plane stunts, hydroplane races, and log booming parties.

Bumbershoot

Saturday, Aug. 30-Sunday, Aug. 31
In complete Seattle style, this big party features a cat circus, live tattooing, burlesque dancing, live music, tons of good food, and so much more than we could ever include in a tiny blurb.

Washington State Fair

Friday, Aug. 29-Sunday, Sept. 21
In addition to the incredible food + rides, Washington’s State Fair has also included a wideeeee variety of musical performances like Flo Rida, Chicago, and the Wiggles.

Earshot Jazz Festival

Friday, Oct. 17-Monday, Nov. 3
This series is groovy, baby. Check out local artists at venues across Seattle and Bainbridge Island through this month-long session of working projects and smooth bands.
