Chinatown-International District Night Market is back

The CID Night Market is returning to Seattle this weekend after a year-long hiatus with vendors, food trucks, live performances, and more.

Crowds of people walk along a street lined on both sides with vendor tents and kiosks. Seattle's Chinatown entrance is in the background.

Seattle’s beloved Chinatown-International District (CID) Night Market is making a comeback on Saturday, Sept. 21 after a one-year hiatus.

For over two decades, the CID Night Market has drawn thousands of visitors to the neighborhood with its mix of local vendors, street foods, and dynamic cultural performances.

While last year’s festival was canceled because of rising costs + sponsor shortages, this year’s Night Market will be restored to its former glory thanks to a $250,000 sponsorship from Amazon.

The free street festival will take over the heart of Seattle’s historic Chinatown-International District — stop by 1-9 p.m. and discover the following:

  • 90+ food, arts and crafts, non-profit, and business vendors
  • A lion dance, taiko drumming, and martial arts demonstrations
  • A dramatic transition from golden hour to nightlife below Hing Hay Park’s iconic red arch
A group of friends stand beneath an archway composed of balloons in yellows, whites, pinks, and blues. They are holding up peace signs and smiling.

CID Night Market is an all-ages street festival connecting Seattleites and visitors with the neighborhood’s resources and culture.

  • Volunteering — Slots are still open for volunteers to help with stage crews, entertainment management, and event tear-down.
