Raise a Glass — Drink Up Week is coming

Thirsty? We’ve rounded up a few local drink deals and imagined how we would sip our way through our perfect local beverage day in Seattle.

Someone fills a glass with Copperworks Whiskey directly from a barrel.

We pride ourselves on keeping you in the mix — so take it from us, a week from today you’re going to want to raise a glass.

We’ll be celebrating Drink Up Week from Monday July 22 to Friday, July 26, tipping our hats to the buzziest entrepreneurs, mixologists, venues, and beverages across Seattle.

We’re also bringing back our — get ready for it — annual trivia night. *cue the air horn and flashing lights*

Come hang with City Editors Alina and Madeline at Navy Strength Sunday, July 28 at 6 p.m. and try to win some prizes by answering our Seattle-based Qs. So, mark those calendars or we’ll cry.

But while we excitedly wait for a chance to see you — we thought up our perfect local beverage day. These are some of the sips we’d savor:

  • First, coffee. We’d start our day at Basecamp Cafe and Bar and order the iced lavender latte. Check out our guide to local coffee shops for even more inspiration.
  • If you’re not a coffee person, you could try a matcha at Nana’s Green Tea. Check out our roundup of incredible tea shops in Seattle.
  • After work, we’d hit up happy hour and treat ourselves to a drink with friends. Try the deals at Belmont’s daily happy hour 5-7 p.m. Our happy hour guide offers more sips, too.
  • Or, we’d reach for a mocktail at Dark Room — we recommend the Destroyer of Bad Vibes made with root beer, Pathfinder, cold brew, and cinnamon syrup.

Looking for a drink deal? A few local businesses are offering deals to our readers during Drink Up Week, so this may also be a good place to kick-start the ultimate local beverage day:

  • Rochambeau | $2 off one House Cocktail — limit one per guest
  • Boon Boona Coffee | 20% off seasonal drink menu
  • Nektar Juice Bar | BOGO 16-oz smoothie or juice
  • Lariat Bar | $4 off the Stardust Cocktail
