Seahawks hire Mike Macdonald as new head coach

After a few weeks of interviews and fan speculation, the Seahawks are expected to name Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald as their head coach.

Macdonald became the NFL’s youngest defensive coordinator in 2022 and led the Ravens’ stout defense over the past two seasons. In 2023, Baltimore topped the league in fewest points allowed, most sacks, and most takeaways — the first team in NFL history to lead in all three categories.
