The sun’s coming out and the temps are rising — it’s the perfect time to go shopping at Seattle’s surrounding farmers markets.

Here’s where you can find fresh food, live music, and local vendors:

Capitol Hill | Sundays, year-round + Tuesdays, seasonally (starting June 4) | 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sundays, 3-7 p.m. on Tuesdays
  • Features: Take your goodies over to Cal Anderson Park for a little midday snack
  • Parking: Street parking is free on Sundays, but the market is also directly adjacent to the Capitol Hill Light Rail station
  • Space: Outdoors
South Lake Union | Saturdays, May 4-Sept. 28 | 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Features: Known as SLU Saturday Market, 65+ vendors here sell food, vintage goods, art, and more
  • Parking: Street parking + garages
  • Space: Outdoors
Pro tip: Expect larger crowds every fourth Saturday with the addition of DJs + extra pop-ups.

His new venture Hey Bagel will be a more lowkey operation than Rubinstein Bagels, which he sold his stake in last year. Expect a cream cheese bar + extra crispy bagels. (Eater Seattle)

  • The Washington State Dept. of Transportation has launched its first test of “graffiti battling drones” in Tacoma. Leaders hope the project will improve access to hard-to-reach areas and save time + money.
