🍻 Tap in, Seattle

Seattle Beer Week 2024 kicks off this weekend

An iron beer flight tray holds four small pour glasses of different beers, varying in opacity and shades of brown. The top handle of the flight tray reads "Elysian" in capital letters made of iron. The markers for each beer name the brews from left to right: "White Magic," "Dayglow," "Cyclops," and "Daedalus."
In addition to bold beers, Elysian Brewing Co. also offers regular events + a wide variety of food options. | Photo by SEAtoday staff
This weekend, Seattle Beer Week kicks off at local breweries, restaurants, and bars around Seattle. This celebration offers events, deals, and more to show off the city’s love for bold brews — we’ll cheers to that.

When it first launched in 2009, Seattle Beer Week was no more than a small group of events held at a few local establishments. Since then, it has expanded to over 200 events across 10 days of mug clinking and ale drinking.

This weekend

Friday, May 17
  • SBW Kickoff Celebration, 4-10 p.m. | Old Stove Brewing Co. has this year’s official SWB collab beer, the Whereas West Coast IPA. Kids and dogs are welcome, just grab your capes because the theme is “old school comic books/superheroes.”
Saturday, May 18
  • Haze Fest, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. | Reuben’s Brews is serving 16 different hazy beers, with live entertainment starting at 5 p.m.
Sunday, May 19
  • Yoga + Beer: Slow Flow, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. | Start your Sunday off slow and steady with a gentle yoga sesh and a taproom hang afterwards.
  • SBW Run, 12-5 p.m. | This bar crawl is extra speedy. Meet at Stoup Brewing in Capitol Hill and grab pints at pit stops along the way to Stoup’s Ballard location.
A plate with a stacked burger and crispy french fries is in the foreground, with a bowl of caesar salad and a four-glass flight of beers in the background.

Brewskies and burgers, name a more iconic duo... we’ll wait.
