Good news, Seattle — if you’re reading this, it means you’ve made it out of the dark gloom of winter.

Not only will March bring us both our first 6 p.m. + 7 p.m. sunsets (woohoo!), but it is also brings us several, very cool events that serve as the first signs that our city’s people are becoming social again.

Here’s what you have to look forward to in March.

Emerald City Comic Con

Thursday, March 6-Sunday, March 9
Pop in for guest appearances from the “Baldur’s Gate 3" voice actors (including our snarky vampire friend), cosplaying panels, and video game competitions.

Seattle Cocktail Week

Sunday, March 2-Sunday, March 9
Sip your way through some of Seattle’s best bars and spirits with this big series of events, panels, and workshops that conclude with “Carnival of Cocktails.”

UW Cherry Blossom Bloom

Usually in mid-March to mid-April
This isn’t an organized event, but it’s something the whole town will be talking about as a surefire sign of spring. These cherry blossoms symbolize the beginning of life returning after the winter and inspire plenty of events + festivals around town.

Mariners Opening Day

Monday, March 27
This is our year... hopefully. Our home MLB team might break your heart year after year, but at some point we’ll make it to the World Series, right?

Local job boards are a total game-changer — for both job seekers and businesses. Instead of sifting through endless listings, they focus on quality over quantity, connecting employers with candidates who actually want to work in the area. That means fewer relocation headaches and better retention.

For big and small businesses, it’s a smart way to connect with candidates who understand the local community and culture. Plus, hiring locally usually means a faster, smoother hiring process. Whether you’re looking for a job or trying to fill one, SEAtoday Job Board keeps things simple, practical, and close to home.

Here at SEAtoday, you may already know we’re big on celebrating local, especially our city’s small businesses. Which is why a week dedicated to highlighting the heart of our communities is right up our alley.

Enter: Small Business Week — a national initiative that acknowledges and celebrates the contributions of small businesses — that we’ll be celebrating from Sunday, May 4 to Saturday, May 10.

We want to join in on the celebrations by highlighting some of the best small businesses in our city.

This is where we need your help.

If you own a local small business or know someone who does, celebrate Small Business Week with us by filling out a form about your business. We’ll be selecting businesses to feature in our newsletter throughout the week.
