Through Upgrade SEA, a multi-year capital improvement campaign, the airport is evolving to meet the needs of today’s travelers — just in time for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where Seattle will serve as one of several host cities.
As part of an additional facility at C Concourse, this expansion brings more than 200,000 sqft of new space to the terminal. Inside, passengers will find:
13 new dining and retail spaces
A central marketplace called Marketplace at C
An architectural showpiece known as Tree at C
Lookout at C, a platform with expansive airfield views
Amenities including a sensory room, an interfaith prayer and meditation room, and a live performance area
Sustainability is also a major focus, with innovative features setting the precedent for future capital projects at the Port. Think: Fossil fuel-free systems, low-flow water fixtures, and electrochromic window glazing.
The C Concourse Expansion is lifting SEA to new heights (literally) with added space, thoughtful amenities, and green design features.
An upgraded Checkpoint 6 with increased capacity and a post-security recompose zone
A refreshed baggage claim level featuring new lighting and curated artwork
Roadway Improvements Project
Outside the terminal, this project is focused on streamlining airport access with two additional lanes and dedicated routes for the parking garage and courtesy vehicles.
