Ahead of the holiday season, all I want is a chance to catch my breath. It may sound contradictory, but a winding labyrinth can be a nice way to, well, unwind.
I love the labyrinth at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral. This Capitol Hill cathedral has a permanent, bricked path in the courtyard. There’s also a temporary labyrinth placed inside the sanctuary during select holidays like New Year’s Eve. The addition of the temporary installation is a tradition that spans two decades.
