Seattle food fundraiser helps Turkey and Syria relief efforts

There are 75+ businesses participating.

Local businesses hope to nourish those in need. To that end, Rachel’s Bagels and Burritos in Ballard recently launched the Seattle Hospitality Fundraiser for earthquake relief efforts in Syria and Turkey.

There are 75+ local restaurants, bars, breweries, and bakers involved in the campaign, which runs all day today. Each spot is doing their own thing to support the cause, whether that’s running specials, giving a percentage of their sales to nonprofits, or donating items to sell elsewhere.

Rachel’s is hosting a Turkish food pop-up at the restaurant run by kitchen manager Emir, with 100% of proceeds going to relief organizations like Ahbap.
