There are few things more magical than walking through holiday lights in the cold with mittens and a cup of rich hot chocolate to keep you warm. We’re swooning a little bit just thinking about it.

To help you with your own holiday endeavors, here are some enchanting pairings we think you may enjoy.

❄️ Seattle Center’s Winterfest Luminata | Begins after dark | Seattle Center | Free | Enjoy a magical walk through the Seattle Center’s grounds or stop by midday for events like carolers or live ice sculpting. See a full schedule here.

🍫 Pair with: Sugar Bakery + Coffeehouse right next to Seattle Center’s campus at 110 Republican St.

❄️ Illuminations 2021: Wayfinding | Begins after dark | Freeway Park, 700 Seneca St. | Free | Seven artists have combined their works to create a story about how each of us are finding our own way through this new world in the pandemic.

🍫 Pair with: Rey Amargo, within walking distance of the exhibit at 722 E. Pike St.

❄️ Snowflake Lane | Every night Fri., Nov. 26-Fri., Dec. 24 | 7 p.m. | Between Bellevue and Lincoln Square | Free | A holiday parade made for busy schedules, this nightly spectacle will dazzle you with glittering snow fall, toy drummer performances, dancers, festive music + plenty of lights.

🍫 Pair with: Fran’s Chocolates just blocks away at 10036 Main St.

❄️ Wildlanterns | Fri., Nov. 12-Sun., Jan. 30 | 4-8:30 p.m. | Woodland Park Zoo | $25.95+ | This long-running program will delight your children (or you, of course) with trails of glowing animals — current and extinct — Tianyu art performances, and ambassador animal meetings.

🍫 Pair with: Chocolati at 7708 Aurora Ave. N., which is a short drive from the zoo. Maybe even bring a thermos.

❄️ Candy Cane Lane | Early Dec.- Sat., Dec. 31 | Begins around dark | Corner of NE. Ravenna Blvd. + 21st Ave. NE. | Free | Seattle’s Ravenna residents come together every year to create quite the spectacle with their extravagantly decorated homes in a holiday tradition that’s lasted since the 1940s. Drive through or park and walk.

🍫 Pair with: Cafe Ladro Ravenna just a hop away from Candy Cane Lane at 1222 NE. 65th St.

❄️ Olympic Manor | Early Dec.- Sat., Dec. 31 | Begins around dark | Enter at NW 85th St. + 23rd Ave. NW. | Free | If you’re looking for something that gets away from the usual crowds, this neighborhood is always a bright spot. Cruise through in your car for a treat.

🍫 Pair with: Jibe Cafe just a few minutes drive from Olympic Manor at 7001 Seaview Ave. NW. #170.
