Buckle up: Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is in full transformation mode.
Through its Upgrade SEA campaign, the airport is rolling out major improvements — from expanded spaces and streamlined access to new amenities — all designed to boost comfort, efficiency, and the overall travel experience.
And with Seattle preparing to welcome a global audience of soccer fans next year, these projects are expected to wrap just in time to welcome the world in style (and with a lot less stress).
Here’s what’s changing:
- Roadway improvements | Dedicated routes for shuttles, parking, and taxis mean less congestion and increased safety.
- SEA Gateway Project | Introducing a sleek new Alaska check-in experience, upgraded security checkpoint, and modern design details
- C Concourse Expansion | 200,000+ sqft of sustainable space with new food, retail, and traveler amenities (hello, sensory room and airfield views)
All three projects are expected to be completed by summer 2026.
