Whether you’re looking to chop down your own tree or just take a pre-harvested one home to decorate, we’ve pulled together a few farms within an hour of Seattle to help kick off your season. We’ve even got something for the hardcore lumberjacks.

🌲 Traditional, tree-chopping experiences

Enchanted Winds | 18021 Issaquah Hobart Rd. SE. | <1 hour drive | Open weekends | Fri.-Sun., 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. | Complimentary cider and shopping in the Enchanted Winds Gift Barn makes for a complete trip.

Crystal Creek Tree Farm | 23604 SE 192nd St, Maple Valley | 1 hour drive | Open every day | Mon.-Fri. 12-4 p.m., Sat. + Sun. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. | This 23-acre farm also has a $5 train ride around the property on weekends.

McMurtrey Farms | 13925 Redmond-Woodinville Rd. NE. | <1 hour drive | Open everyday beginning Fri., Nov. 25 | Daily, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. | The u-pick field is now closed, but you can still snag one of their pre-cut trees.

🌲 Want something even more rugged?

The $10 Mt. Baker Snoqualmie Natl. Forest Christmas Tree Permit permit allows you to find and chop down your own tree within designated areas of the forest.

🌲 Check the map

It can be a tough choice picking a location, so narrow down your options with the Puget Sound Christmas Tree Assocation’s farm map . You can refine your search by types of trees, amenities, payment types, and county.
