In 2021, a study conducted by the Washington State Department of Health found that ~219,000 older adults in The Evergreen State experienced anxiety symptoms.

Enter: Sound Generations, a King County nonprofit providing accessible and inclusive services for older adults.

Working to support community members ages 55+, adults with disabilities, and their loved ones, Sound Generations provides reliable guidance through several programs, such as the Geriatric Regional Assessment Team (GRAT).

GRAT offers outreach, comprehensive assessment, and early intervention for those nearing a crisis. By understanding day-to-day needs and interests, the program connects older adults to community resources for stabilization.

Heads up: Friends and family can refer older adults to the program.

Interested in supporting Sound Generations’ transformative work? Register for the Golden Gala virtual auction, live through October, and join the virtual livestream event on Wednesday, Oct. 23.

Attendees can learn more about the programs while bidding on exciting prizes (think: a Holland America cruise) or donating. Support King County’s older adults
