Wave those tentacles. In case you haven’t noticed, our still fresh-as-a-daisy NHL team has been a monster so far this season. 🐙

The Seattle Kraken extended their franchise-record winning streak to seven games after Thursday night’s victory — and scored a whopping nine goals earlier this week . They’re currently near the top of the Western Conference standings, and show no signs of slowing down .

Here’s all you need to know to catch up with the squad. 🏒

Newer names 🚨

After finishing last in their division at the end of their debut season, the Kraken have been clicking much better this time around thanks to more team chemistry and a few key additions.

  • Martin Jones : The backup goaltender filled in well when starter Philipp Grubauer went down with an injury early in the season.
  • André Burakovsky : One of the team’s biggest offseason signings has helped add firepower to the offense.
  • Matty Beniers : While this 20-year-old phenom made an appearance toward the end of the 2021-22 campaign, “Matty Ice” now looks ready to be an every day star.

Buoy has gotten the crowd at Climate Pledge Arena pumped.

Sea-trollin’ right along 🌊

Is it just a coincidence that Kraken’s turnaround came not long after they introduced their new sea-troll mascot, Buoy ? Maaayyybe. But let’s not deny the power of this cray creature, who seems to have quite a mischievous side — and likes to clap back hard at haters .

Even more epic? Buoy gets to dance around to killer tunes since the team got Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer to create the its soundtrack.

Get to a game 🗓️

The Kraken are facing off against some big teams this month at Climate Pledge Arena. Get on down there and scream your face off.
