Looking to help those affected by the local wildfires?
While progress is being made in extinguishing the Bolt Creek Fire currently overtaking ~9,600 acres of forest near Index, WA, only 5% has been contained.
Index residents have been under a Level 3 evacuation order — the most urgent level — for a few days and donations are still needed to assist those who have left their homes + for lost pets.
Here are some ways you can pitch in:
- Donate cash to the Red Cross or Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce Visitor Information Center .
- Donate pet food, toys, water/food dishes, leashes + collars, towels or blankets to the Everett Animal Shelter .
