While its certainly warmer this week than it was over the weekend, Seattle was under a winter weather advisory last night not long after several area schools closed or were delayed due to cold weather issues.
In case winter-related closures crop up again, here are a few educational ways to keep the kids entertained at home.
- PacSci’s Curiosity at-home resources | Download hands-on STEM activities for your little scientists.
- Woodland Park Zoo’s Zoo to You program | Download activity books, animal yoga instructions, or take a forest quiz.
- Seattle Aquarium Live Cams | Can’t make it to the aquarium? Watch the otters, giant Pacific octopus, puffins, and others wander around in real-time.
- Frye Families art activities | Each month, the museum hosts craft activities for preschoolers that are based on children’s books. Afterwards, the museum puts them online for all families to enjoy at home.
