Is there any event that sounds as decadent as the Northwest Chocolate Festival? Surprise — it’s in our own backyard.
The two-day all-things cacao festival is taking place Saturday, Oct. 7-Sunday, Oct. 8, at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue. In addition to offering sweet treat samples from 100+ global brands, the festival has a variety of sugary educational events.
Here are a few that we’re excited about:
- Hot Fudge Sundae School | Saturday, Oct. 7 | 2-3 p.m. | San Francisco’s Dandelion Chocolate teaches techniques for building all of the necessary sundae components.
- A Chocolate Never Tasted | Saturday, Oct. 7 | 1-2 p.m. | Learn about a Nicaraguan cacao producer and Massachusetts chocolate maker’s quest for new flavors.
- How Professionals Taste and Evaluate Fine Chocolate | Sunday, Oct. 8 | 12-1 p.m. | You’ll be quite the expert after this masterclass.
Day and weekend passes are on sale starting at $34.
