ICYMI, National Cookie Day was Sat., Dec. 4 — but the sugar rush is just getting started. With the holidays upon us, everyone will be on the hunt for the perfect sweet treats to liven up parties + sprinkle around general merriment. 🎉

Luckily, Seattle has no shortage of wonderful shops with tempting creations, from delectable chocolate chip classics to nostalgia-driven snickerdoodles, and beyond. Below are some of our favorites that are totally sah-weet.

🍪 Batch Baking Company

Those with a taste for nostalgia must try out this Capitol Hill shop, which specializes in after-school specials like snickerdoodles, Squareos + Nutter Butters. It also bakes fortune cookies with custom-messages inside.

It’s worth visiting this Central District favorite — with an outpost in Georgetown — for the comforting smell alone. But the perfectly chewy selections are always on point, and the cookie cake slices are truly decadent delights.

One of Seattle’s most popular cookie destinations in the U District + Capitol Hill built a rep for seasonal hits (there are hot cocoa cookies, y’a’ll), as well as playful takes on old standbys, including Mackle-smores and Totes Oats.

🍪 The Flora Bakehouse

The South Seattle offshoot to venerated vegan sensation Cafe Flora is all about great pastries + coffee, with a small-but-mighty selection of cookies in the glass case, including molasses ginger and a satisfying chocolate chip take.

Touting its use of organic ingredients, this newcomer is already making an impression with unique cookies like oatmeal white chocolate + festive rainbow sprinkles. Oh yeah, the shop bakes its own Pop Tarts, too.
