Here’s a good sign. Famous fictional soccer coach Ted Lasso put up billboards across the US in support of the US Men’s FIFA World Cup squad — including two here in Seattle that have us pumped. 💪

The one in SODO is directed at Sounders FC star Jordan Morris, who is currently on the World Cup roster. The other located downtown is a pep talk for DeAndre Yedlin, a Seattle native who will be Morris’s teammate in Qatar this month. ⚽

A couple of the inspiring Lasso quotes:

Rain or shine I’ll be rootin’ for you!” (For Morris)

“Not only are you quick on your feet, you get fresh cuts faster than a lawnmower on rocket fuel. I’m talkin’ about that everchanging hairdo of yours.” (For Yedlin)

World Cup matches for the US start Monday, Nov. 21 with a Sounders-organized watch party. Don’t know about you, but we’re listening to Coach Lasso — and ready to run through a brick wall, mustache first. Believe. 🏆
