Tim’s Tavern usually hosts a wide variety of touring artists, though it especially focuses on local bands.

Rock your socks off. Seattle’s raucous live music Tim’s Tavern has found a new home in White Center — two years after closing its original Greenwood location .

It’s taken over the former location of Drunky Two Shoes BBQ at 9655 16th Ave SW, but Tim’s has its own pulled pork and bar bites, plus a drinks menu of beer, wine, and cocktails.

Tim’s held a grand reopening party recently, and is now settling into a groove with concerts and other events. Here’s what’s on the calendar:

  • Rock-o-Taco | Tuesdays, 6 p.m. | $7-$10 | Enjoy a shot of tequila and a taco for $5 as a rotating lineup of local bands perform.
  • Open mic nights | Mondays, 7 p.m. | Free | Take the stage to share your poetry, songs, comedic stylings, or any other creative performance.
  • Pub quiz | Wednesdays, 6 p.m. | Free | Show off your knowledge with two rounds of questions from PNW trivia company Sporcle — then check out live music on the patio after.

Gabe is based in Seattle (originally from New Jersey), and has previously been a food writer at Eater, a sports reporter, and a YA graphic novelist. You’ll probably find him scouting out the latest restaurant in town on the weekends, or strolling around the streets of White Center with his feisty pup, Armando.
