Seattle Turkey Trots in 2022

Run or walk for a cause this holiday season.

Before gobbling up all that great food this Thanksgiving, some of you might be lacing up those sneaks.

There are five festive Turkey Trots happening around Seattle this Thursday, Nov. 24 for folks feeling inspired to run, walk or lightly jog.

So, on your marks...

🦃 Montlake Community Club’s Seventh Annual | 9 a.m. | Fuel Coffee, 2300 24th Ave. E. | $45-$55 | The scenic 5K trot and kids run will take participants through the Washington Park Arboretum — there are also free beanies.

🦃 Magnuson Series | 9:30 a.m. | Magnuson Park, 7400 Sand Point Way NE | $28+ | Participants are encouraged to bring donations for the University Food Bank, and the fastest and best-dressed racers will take home a free pumpkin pie.

🦃 Helpline House’s 13th Annual | 8:30 a.m. | Battle Point Park, 11299 Arrow Point Dr. NE, Bainbridge Island | $30+ | Proceeds from this 5K (or one-mile) fun run-draiser goes to the Bainbridge-based organization that provides social services and other essential needs to the community.

🦃 Trotting for the Issaquah Food Bank | 9 a.m.| SE Bush St. and First Ave. SE | $30 for ages 11+ | The route here goes through the lovely downtown Issaquah — plus, runners get a free t-shirt for helping a good cause.

🦃 Woodinville 5K | 9 a.m.-12 p.m.| Wilmot Gateway Park, 17301 131st Ave. NE, Woodinville | $35 | Dash past the picturesque Sammamish River Trail with all its fall colors and support Woodinville High School’s sports teams.

If you’ve got the appetite for a more intense race, the Amica Insurance Seattle Marathon is on Saturday, Nov. 26 starting at Husky Stadium. It’s not too late to register or donate. 👟
