Bagels have been booming in Seattle over the past few years . To keep up, we’ve crafted this go-to bagel guide, loaded with five local shops for anyone eager to try some of the city’s best breakfast bites.

🥯 Old Salt Fish & Bagels | 3621 Stone Way N., Seattle | Old Salt brings fresh ingredients to the breakfast plate by using fish sourced from local purveyors. Seafood lovers should try the kippered salmon, tuna, and smoked cod sandwiches.

🥯 Zylberschtein’s Delicatessen & Bakery | 11752 15th Ave. NE, Seattle | The bagels at this Pinehurst deli sell out fast with their generous portions of schmears. There’s also a home delivery service.

🥯 Loxsmith | 5600 Delridge Way SW., Seattle | With the “I’m From Manhattan” and “I Used to Live in Brooklyn” sandwiches, the pop-up proudly touts its New York-style offerings. Try out the ham, egg, and hash brown on a crispy jalapeño bagel — and look out for a permanent Beacon Hill location coming soon.

🥯 Rubinstein Bagels | 2121 Sixth Ave., Seattle | Rubinstein serves sourdough-made, hand-rolled bagels using local, organic flour. Be sure to try the salted rosemary bagel with herb and garlic schmear — and note there’s longer distance delivery on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

🥯 Oxbow | 2307 24th Ave. E., Seattle | Have a seat and enjoy the modern decor and tranquil ambiance at this newer cafe in the city. You can order specialty cream cheeses including sun-dried tomato or garlic with Calabrian chili — or pair a sesame seed bagel with an oat milk masala chai latte.
