As local summer fests start releasing their lineups, we can’t wait to jam out in Capitol Hill or chill on the Woodland Park Zoo lawn.

Queer/Pride Festival | June 28-30 | 11th Avenue between Pike + Pine | $69+ | LGBTQ+ icons like Tegan and Sara and Santigold are certain to be a high-energy way to round out Pride Month.
Capitol Hill Block Party | July 19-21 | Pike/Pine + Broadway | $235+ | This year’s lineup includes Kaytranada, Still Woozy, Chappell Roan, The Beaches, and many more cool acts.

If you’re looking for some culture
Bumbershoot | Labor Day weekend | Seattle Center | $70-$350 | This year’s visual arts programming includes a music video competition, breakdancing, double dutch, fashion marketplace, indie films, a Bigfoot deepfake competition, and even a cat circus. We’ll know more about the musical lineup later this spring.
Northwest Folklife | May 24-27 | Seattle Center | Free | One of Seattle’s crunchiest and most beloved events highlights PNW culture with folk art fashion shows, tons of local artisans, musical performances, and lots of good food.

If you like good music in smaller bites
ZooTunes | Woodland Park Zoo | June 16 and August 21 | $45 | Hey — giraffes like to groove, too. This concert series benefits the zoo’s programs + animal care, so grab your low-backed chair and jam out to acts like the Violent Femmes and Norah Jones.
Chateau Ste Michelle Summer Concert Series | Chateau Ste Michelle Amphitheatre | Select dates from May 25 to Sept. 28 | $50.50+ | The venue will celebrate its 40th season with a star-studded 2024 schedule featuring 26 headliners including Sarah McLachlan (May 25 + May 26); Maren Morris (June 1); Beck (July 3); Harry Connick Jr. (July 12 + July 13); John Legend (July 20 + July 21); and Indigo Girls + Amos Lee (Sept. 28).
